TNI Distribute Basic Food in the RI-PNG Border as a Form of Concern

The spread of the corona virus outbreak continues to spread. This condition aroused the empathy of various groups to extend assistance to residents affected by covid 19. This time, social action came from the RI-PNG Task Force, Infantry Battalion MR 411 / PDW Kostrad.

In order to ease the burden on the community in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, the RI-PNG Pamtas Task Force, Yonif MR 411 / PDW Kostrad distributed food packages to residents in Kampung Bupul, Eligobel District, Merauke.

Dansatgas Yonif MR 411 / PDW Kostrad Major Inf Rizky Aditya said the food packages were distributed to the community as a form of caring for personnel of the MR 411 / PDW Yonif Task Force Post Kostrad Kali Maro for fostered residents in the midst of the corona virus pandemic.

"In the midst of the current pandemic corona virus outbreak, our helping hands are urgently needed by residents, especially those in the RI-PNG border to help alleviate their basic daily needs," he said, Sunday (3/5).

Groceries distributed to residents in the form of rice, instant noodles, biscuits and so forth. "We hope that all of these things can ease the burden on society," he said.

He continued, while touring the village personnel also appealed to the community not to do a lot of activities outside the home if it is not important, always keep a distance, and maintain cleanliness by frequently washing hands, and always wearing masks when outside the home.

"Keep following the Government regulations, pray together that the corona virus will quickly disappear, and we can all move back to normal," he said.
