In order to help the government stabilize market prices for two commodities, namely sugar and rice, the Papua Muda Inspiratif (PMI) Jayapura region cooperates with the regional and provincial government offices for Papua and West Papua to hold a Cheap Market Operation.
This market operation is carried out for a week, from 9-16 June 2020, on Jalan Merauke Number 72, Jayapura, which is a warehouse as well as the Jayapura PMI Market.
As much as 2 tons of sugar and 2 tons of rice distributed by Bulog were sold by PMI at cheap prices during the operation of the Discount Market. The sugar sold at the Discount Market Operations is sugar with the GKP Extrarauwsugar GMM brand which consists of 50 sacks of 40 kilograms, and 20 percent DN Medium rice in 10 kilograms of 200 sacks of 200 sacks with a total of 2 tons.
Until Friday (12/6), all sugar has been sold out. Meanwhile, rice that experienced delays from the warehouse was sold out on Monday (6/15).
The next day, Bulog will redistribute sugar, rice, flour and cooking oil produced by Bulog to be sold cheaply at Jayapura PMI Market. As a partner, in the future Inspiring Papua Muda Jayapura area will become a distributor for the National Logistics Agency.
