HITS is Committed to Developing Regional Pearls from the East

PT ETSI Hutama Maritim (ETSI), one of the business segments developed by PT Humpuss Intermoda Transport Tbk (HITS) in the PT Misi Hutama Internasional (MIS) Group is committed to developing the sons of pearls from the east.

HITS embraces the Ampari Vocational High School in Jayapura City to carry out development and training. This social project was signed with all ranks of the HITS Group along with the Head of the West Papua Vocational School, Indeleti SJ Ansanay, Spd and his team in Jakarta, Friday (27/1).

“HITS's emphasis on the social aspect of the ESG (environmental, social and governance) component is one of the improvements in the quality of human resources. In addition to HITS personnel, we are also very concerned about the growth and development of our officer candidates and open opportunities for regional sons who come from the east," said Kemal Imam Santoso, President Director of HITS in a release received by the editorial team, Saturday (29/1). ).

This cooperation in the field of education was initiated to empower human resources as well as to improve the quality of the sons of Papua in the maritime or shipping sector. This is considered very necessary to provide added value to the ecosystem built by the Regional Head.

Director of ETSI Hutama Maritim-Training Center (ETSI) Johan Novitrian explained that the need for crew members continues to increase every year, so an aggressive program is needed and synergizes with Shipping Schools in Indonesia.

The growth of the crew will be in line with the growth of the quality development of the crew. In order to achieve this target, it is necessary to have skilled, reliable and initial certified human resources for ships that are legally issued by Sea Transportation.

"For this reason, ETSI plays a big role in helping Ampari Vocational High School students to align their competence with Vocational Vocational Schools in other areas," added Johan.

Johan added, the Company's target is to carry out digital transformation in the form of automation for technology-based maritime education service and content providers, not only to reform learning methods but is expected to be able to change various aspects of the world of education.

Thus, the availability of technology to produce educational content is expected to help students outside Java to have international standards and qualifications.

On the other hand, Dedi Hudayana as the President Director of MISI, as well as the Director of HITS said that this HITS activity was also a kick-off for the ESG program related to the development of human resources in the maritime industry for the sons of Papua.

"HITS as the parent company will fully support the development of human resources through education and training, and certification," said Dedi.

Dedi said that the collaboration between ETSI and the Vocational School of Shipping Ampari in Jayapura City was not based on business interests, but purely for the benefit of human resources. According to him, this cooperative relationship in the world of education is believed to be able to strengthen the 'People' structure to realize the Company's vision.
