All Parties Must Synergize for the Success of PON XX in Papua

The implementation of the XX National Sports Week (PON) in 2020 is in sight. The public, the Government, and the event organizers were also asked to increase synergy so that the PON XX can run smoothly.

National Sports Week (PON) is a national multi-national sports championship in Indonesia which is held every 4 years by the Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI).

PON XX has also been budgeted in the Papua Province APBD for Fiscal Year 2020 in the amount of 2 trillion rupiah. Previously, President Joko Widodo had signed Presidential Instruction (Inpres) No. 1/2020 concerning the Acceleration of Supporting the Implementation of PON 2020 to support the smooth running of the event.

To find out all the preparations and readiness that have been carried out, the Panja Team for the preparation of XX XX PON in Papua Papua, House of Representatives Commission X led by PON Committee Chairperson Abdul Fikri Faqih has conducted monitoring regarding the readiness of all the needs of XX PON implementation in Papua.
