The Victim's Family Has Been Sincere and Understanding the Incident of Shootout

On Monday (4/13/2020) there was a shootout between the TNI-Polri and the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) in Mile 34, PT Freeport Indonesia area. The shooting killed two residents, Eden Armando Bebari (19) and Roni Wandik (23), carried out by the TNI.

Now, the bodies of the two gunshot victims have been buried. The cemetery, is known to have run smoothly. According to the Papua Regional Police Chief, Police Inspector General Paulus Waterpauw, his party had already conveyed its condolences.

"In principle, the family has understood and accepted where previously there was an appeal from several figures not to enter the Tembagapura area to Kuala Kencana and its surroundings which was the KKB War zone," Paulus said.

Now, the authorities are investigating the area where the shootout took place. According to Paulus, he said that the area is a food supply route for the KKB

"We have secured a security whose relevance is to fight for this group by collecting various data and then sending it to his brother in Fanuatu and forwarding it to his sister who is in Australia," Paulus said.

According to Paulus, a number of weapons and ammunition that had been seized by the KKB had been taken back by the TNI-Polri Task Force. "We will continue to make efforts to take action against the movement of the KKB," he said.
