In less than 10 months the XX National Sports Week (PON) event in Papua will take place. Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Zainudin Amali gave instructions to government agencies to become a means of socialization. A number of preparations continue to speed up.

Zainudin said that the PON's interest could be felt throughout Indonesia, other regions, especially in government agencies at the TNI-Polri Office, getting an appeal from the Ministry of Youth and Sports to participate in campaigning for PON XX Papua.

He also said his belief that Papua would be able to hold a PON 2020. He said venue preparations had reached 85 percent. The minister from Gorontalo also claimed to have seen the preparation of the venue construction directly.
