JAYAPURA - TNI Kodim 1701 / Jayapura ranks assert that they are not afraid to face the possibility of the threat of armed criminal groups (KKB) that interfere with the 107th TNI Manunggal Building Program (TMMD) program, which will take place in Kampung Kibay, Arso Timur District, Keerom District, Papua.
"Indeed the security risks we face in carrying out the 107th TMMD in Kibay Village are very high, given the fact that there are still armed criminal groups based around the border. Jerry Simatupang, in a written statement through the Head of Information for the Regional Military Command XVII / Cenderawasih Colonel Cpl Eko Daryanto, in Jayapura, Monday (9/3/2020).
He said, in anticipation of security disturbances, in addition to forming a security group in each activity, the Commander had coordinated with the 713 / ST Infantry Battalion Task Force and the local police personnel.
The border security task force posts (Satgas Pamtas) will carry out escorting and monitoring TMMD routes and locations in Kampung Kibay.
"We are not afraid of the threat. Our arrival was based on sincere and sincere intentions to help alleviate the difficulties of residents at the border, especially Kampung Kibay. No matter how heavy the risk, we will face it. We are sure that the community will help create a conducive atmosphere during the implementation of TMMD later, "said Dandim Kol Jerry.
In contrast to the condition of other regions in Indonesia that are relatively safe, he continued, so that the implementation of TMMD in the Papua Province region is always faced with the threat of the presence of armed criminal groups (KKB).
