Police in Jayapura distribute free masks

North Jayapura District Police officers distributed cloth masks for free in Tanjung Ria Village and Imbi Outahan Utara Jayapura District, Jayapura City, Papua, Wednesday (29/04).

This is done because there are still many people who do not use masks outside the home. In addition, as a form of support for the appeal the Government requires all residents who move outside the home to use masks, to prevent transmission of the corona virus (Covid-19).

The mask distribution was directly led by the Jayapura Police Chief, North Iptu Handry Bawilling, S. Sos., MM accompanied by the Deputy Chief of Iptu Septinus Mambruaru along with members and members of Babinsa.

Iptu Handry Bawilling said the mask distribution activity was an effort to prevent the spread of the corona virus (Covid-19) in the Jayapura District area.

"This is a form of Polri's concern, in this case North Jayapura Police Station to the residents so that we give 200 pieces of free masks to residents who are still active outside the home such as betel nut sellers and other communities.

In addition to distributing masks, his party also provides socialization related to appeals issued by the government and the Chief of Police's announcement on the prevention of covid-19 viruses such as keeping a distance, always washing hands before and after activities and avoiding crowding.
