Deputy Regent of Merauke, Papua Province Soelarso accompanied by Jagebob police chief Ipda Sukirno carried out Safari Ramadhan 1441 H at Al Mujahidin Mosque, Kamno Sari Village, Jagebob District, Merauke Regency, Thursday, as well as providing personal protective equipment (APD) masks to prevent the spread of COVID-19 .

In that momentum, the Deputy Regent of Merauke Soelarso provided assistance in the form of 40 bottles of hand sanitaizer, 250 sheets of mask, vitamin C, 19 sheets of sarong and 10 pieces of prayer and Rp10 million in cash for the construction of the mosque.
According to Sukirno on the Safari Ramadhan occasion, he also appealed to the public so that there should not be activities that invite mass gatherings, remain calm and not panic excessively, always think positively and do not easily believe in issues or news whose truth is unclear.
"I also ask residents not to go home, just stay at home, and stay away from crowded places to avoid the corona virus. Let's together obey the appeal that has been issued by the central and regional governments as well as the National Police Chief's announcement regarding corona prevention efforts," he said.
Meanwhile, Deputy Regent of Merauke Soelarso said that the assistance was intended as a form of attention to the community as well as education on how to break the chain of distribution of COVID-19.
"Among them the use of masks, washing hands before eating or after activities, maintaining physical distance and not going home," Soelarso said.
