Nine Districts Get Nabire Social Service Assistance

The Nabire Regency Social Service distributes staples for nine villages that are scattered in the Nabire District. The nine villages are Siriwini, Nabarua, Kalibobo, Karang Mulia, Oyehe, Morgo, Bumi Wonorejo, Karang Tumaritis and Girimulyo.

The Head of Nabire Regency Social Service, Izak, said that the aid being distributed was sourced from the APBD funds for the social security net program to procure nine-basic necessities in the corona pandemic of 9 billion.

"This assistance is intended for people who do not receive BLT and other social assistance for three months from May, June and July," Izak said when met by Jubi in his office on Friday (5/29/2020).

He explained, as much as 4,700 aid packages were distributed to residents through each village. In addition to nine villages, a package of 800 staples was also given to the Child Welfare Institution (LKSA), veterans and orphanages which included orphans, children from underprivileged families and widows of veterans.

A total of 4700 packages for nine villages and 800 packages for vulnerable groups are the quota for May 2020. So that the total assistance is as much as 5,500 packages.

Each package consists of 20 kg of local Nabire rice, one shelf of Nabire local eggs, one carton of instant noodles, sardines or canned fish (three cans large while six small cans), one pack teabag, 1500 ml cooking oil, one pack of salt, two cans of sweetened condensed milk, rinso 290 grams in one pack, two pieces of soap, and 2 kg of sugar.

"There are 11 types of basic food items. We think these items are really needed in the current pandemic, "Izak said.

He hopes that the beneficiaries who have been registered will be patient because they will distribute and complete the first phase for May. For June and July the same package and type will be given again.

"We hope to be patient and we will distribute it to the villages and will be continued by the authorities there. "For the next two months, the packages are the same," he hoped.

The Head of the Social Protection and Social Security Division of Dinsos Nabire, Lorenzo Persulessy, added that his team had completed the distribution of nine-basic necessities for nine villages. The plan is that all distribution must be completed by May 30 so that by early June, it can enter with further distribution activities.

’’ Everything is finished for the village, only the pesantren remain, ... but Saturday is over. So we will catch up again next month, "he added.
