The Minister of Transportation, Budi Karya Sumadi, said that his party had prepared a budget of Rp5.9 trillion for labor-intensive programs in order to cope with the community affected by termination due to the corona virus. According to him, the budget allocation is to reduce the social and economic impact for the people affected by the corona virus.

"One of the mandates is the labor-intensive recorded at least Rp5.9 trillion. We do it with the labor-intensive as well as we make adjustments to changes in concentrated posture for activities that are meaningful to the community. We know the spread of COVID is so widespread, so affects economic and social aspects, this provides one record and support, clear direction to each ministry, "said Budi, Monday (11/5).

He explained, the details of the distribution of labor-intensive programs, including from the Directorate General of Land Transportation in 33 provinces, the Directorate General of Railways 10 provinces, the Directorate General of Sea Transportation 29 provinces, and the Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDM) 13 provinces.

"Many brothers do not have the opportunity to work, almost all of our provinces do labor-intensive programs to absorb labor. I with echelon 1-2, up to 2.3 and 4 meetings continue through video conferencing, so that the coordination of what we do leads to where "our places that we expect, to those who need it," he said.

The Ministry of Transportation also changed the 2020 budget posture, from the budget ceiling of IDR 43 trillion to IDR 32 trillion, with details on efficiency at the General Secretariat of IDR 101.2 billion, Inspector General of IDR 35.5 billion, Directorate General of Land Transportation IDR 232, 28 billion.

Furthermore, the Directorate General of Lau Transportation Rp1.9 trillion, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation Rp.2.2 trillion, the Directorate General of Railways Rp.4.7 trillion, the Research and Development Agency Rp42 billion, the Transportation Human Resources Development Agency Rp926 billion and the Jabodetabek Transportation Management Agency Rp187, 7 billion.

Thus, the total Ministry of Transportation budget in 2020 that was cut was IDR 10.36 trillion, while there was also a revised target including non-tax state revenue (PNBP) of IDR 71.72 trillion and public service agency (BLU) of IDR 1.9.9 billion.
