Good news! At Yahukimo, Cargo Services Have Been Opened

Although it is still constrained that a residence permit for the flight crew has not yet been issued, but cargo flight services to 51 districts in Yahukimo Regency have started to open, aka operating.

Head of the Nop Goliat Dekai Airport Office, Setyani Mahendra, told reporters in his office on Tuesday (6/22) that the pioneering cargo flights to the districts had begun operating two weeks ago.

"Because the permit is hampered, so it's not yet optimal but basically it has been operating," he said.

In addition, he admitted that recently the airline had written to the local government to ensure the health of the crew and could stay in Dekai so that operational services could run optimally.

"Yes indeed up to now there has been no conformation from the local government but we believe there is the best policy for service to the community," he added.

While for passenger flights to the districts there is already a permit from the local government to the airline.

In fact, the Asian One airline has submitted a permit for the crew to stay in Dekai to support the smooth running of maximum services.

He added, for Trigana Air and Wings Air flights could not operate in Dekai because there were no flight schedules.

"Trigana Air and Wings Air are still waiting for management decisions from the center. So we cannot operate yet, "he said.
