Maybrat Regency Government Plans to Develop Ibiah River as a Tourist Destination

Maybrat Regency Government plans to develop Kali Ibiah as a tourist destination, because it is considered to have very promising tourism potential. Because this river is still beautiful and not yet developed.

Kali Ibiah has a length of around 10 Km, is located between Kisor District of Aifat District and Aifkerem Village of Aitinyo District and a distance from Kampung Afkrem about 7 Km.

To access the tourist attractions must walk, the Regional Government in this case Maybrat Regent, Drs. Bernard Sagrim said he would plan to build a road connecting Kampung Kaitana in South Aifat District and Towards Afkrem Village in Aitinyo District.

"Because so far it is still separated by nature, with a distance of about 10 Km," said Maybrat Regent when visiting Kali Ibiah, Kaitana Village, South Aifat District, Maybrat Regency, Saturday (06/13/2020).

He added, the purpose of developing tourism is to promote the potential of tourism to increase regional income and also to increase economic growth in the region.

"The Regional Government hopes for the entire community, let us join hands to build Maybrat and do not build mutual sentiment, but we must build the concept for us to advance tourism potential in this Maybrat region," said the Maybrat Regent.
