Sky Air Sumsel Targets One Gold Medal in PON Papua 2021 |
South Sumatra sky water athletes (Sumsel) are targeted to be able to win a gold medal at PON 2020 Papua because the chances of athletes prepared to achieve the best results are quite open.
General Secretary of the Board of the Indonesian Water Ski Union and Wakeboard Province (PSAWI) of South Sumatra Lida Yanto said the gold target was quite realistic, especially since the athletes who were already often donated medals.
"There are four athletes that we prepared and one athlete including almost every PON contributed a gold medal," he said in Palembang, Saturday (3/15)
According to him, South Sumatra water ski athlete targeted to get the gold medal in the name of Indra Hadinata who dropped in the Slalom number.
Indra Hadinata is a native athlete from South Sumatra and the Riau and West Java PONs won gold so the opportunity to return to being the best at the four-yearly Games was quite large.
Previously, the Chairperson of South Sumatra PSAWI Asnawi P Ratu said, the athlete for the Papua PON 2020 had prepared himself to face the four-yearly sports party.
"We also do an integrated training camp so that preparation can be maximized," he said.
In addition to targeting the gold medal, he said, the South Sumatra team also targeted silver and bronze medals in order to boost South Sumatra's rank in PON 2020 Papua.
