Ondoafi Skow Yambe Jayapura Supports the Sustainability of Papua Special Autonomy with Transparency and Supervision

Chairman of the Jayapura City DPRD, Abisai Rollo, ensured that he continued to support the extension of special autonomy (Otsus) in Papua.

Abisai, who is also the Ondoafi head of the Skow Yambe tribe in Jayapura City, said that the implementation of Otsus volume II must be carried out with a clear and transparent implementation, and accompanied by close supervision.

"The policy chosen by the central government for development in the land of Papua is the best choice. Otsus will make the people in the village receive assistance. I am sure that if Otsus is cut, it will make people difficult," he said, Thursday (6/8).

He hopes the government can evaluate the Special Autonomy Fund, so that the allocation given by the government is really in the interests of the people of Papua.

"Don't let Papuans be used by groups on behalf of Papua to reject Otsus. So far, Otsus has been very helpful for people in Papua, including with development. Moreover, Papua is a legitimate part of Indonesia," he said.
