IMP Supports the Government to Continue Special Autonomy Volume II in Papua

The Papua Young Intellectuals (IMP) support the government in its efforts to continue Special Autonomy Volume II for the Papuan people. This was revealed by one of the members of the West Papua IMP and the Chairman of the Wamena KNPI DPP, Arman Asso.

According to him, IMP-PB supports the desire of the Central Government to redistribute Special Autonomy (Otsus) funds volume II, they also agree that if special autonomy is enforced, but as a note there must be control or supervision by forming a special body or institution with the involvement of community leaders and intellectuals of origin. Papua and Pabar.

Asso assessed that Special Autonomy Volume 2 had already occurred and there was no need to be a polemic, because it had become a national program and should be monitored.

Meanwhile, IMP-PB, who is also the Chairperson of the Teluk Bentuni Student Association in the Greater Jakarta Area, Malkin Kosepa, admits that he is not a hypocrite, because during the special autonomy period it is very useful. It is admitted that there has been no socialization of this special autonomy, and the law does not mention that the special autonomy will stop.

In the future IMP-PB agrees that it should be formed its own agency or institution in the management of the Special Autonomy fund, in order to avoid misuse of authority and to suspect the Regional Government. As previously stated, the Governor of Papua, Lukas Enembe, criticized that he would return the special autonomy funds to the Central Government.
