Jayapura Regional Hospital Recruit 60 Health Workers for PON XX Papua

The management of the Jayapura Public Hospital (RSUD) Dok II recruited as many as 60 medical personnel to improve health services at the XX National Sports Week (PON) in October 2021.
Director of RSUD Dok II Jayapura Aloysius Giyai, in Jayapura, Friday, said that the 60 medical personnel, namely nurses, will mostly be placed in the Emergency Room (IGD).

"We are also really preparing ourselves to make the XX PON successful in October 2021," he said.

According to Aloysius, for doctors, it is necessary to build cooperation with hospitals outside Papua such as in Manado, Jogyakarta and Makassar because they require specialist doctors.

"Especially for this doctor who needs to be strengthened in order to face the National Sports Week in the future, while the facilities that are being prepared are the construction of an Emergency Room (IGD) specifically for PON or traumatic ER, for PON participants, especially for athletes," he said.

He explained that human resources and other facilities have begun to be prepared, it's just that his party is still waiting for the availability of an ambulance, which is specifically to serve athletes when injured in the field.

"We really focus on preparing ourselves for the success of PON, because for this sports event, Jayapura Regional Hospital is a referral hospital for the implementation of PON XX, so both human resources and facilities are well prepared," he said again.

He added that in addition to providing medical personnel, his party also strengthened the readiness of facilities in the form of medical rooms and equipment.
