Jayapura Mayor Receives Any PON Budget

The Mayor of Jayapura, Benhur Tomi Mano, is now committed to the success of the Papua PON agenda. Although he had refused to host, he is now ready to accept any budget for the event.

Benhur Tomi Mano, who is also the Head of Sub-PB PON Jayapura, said the community, traditional leaders in 14 villages and religious leaders are ready to make PON Papua a success.

"I invite the regents in the other three clusters to continue to accept any budget from PB PON. Because this event is Papuan pride," said Benhur Tomi in Jayapura City, Papua, Tuesday (16/6/2021).

Sub PB Jayapura City received a budget shift of IDR 108 billion for Papua PON operations from the proposed value of IDR 124 billion. Even so, Mayor Benhur is ready to guarantee the smooth running of the event in Jayapura City.

Meanwhile, the Daily Chairperson of the Papua PON PB, Yunus Wonda, said that the process of submitting the decision letter for budget shifts, functions and responsibilities was under the authority of the Jayapura City Sub-PB.

"This means that it has been completed and we have submitted it to our sub friends and we are sure that we will be successful in Jayapura City, we thank the Jayapura City Government," said Yunus Wonda.
