Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia Encourages Papua as a Sports Talent Development Center
The Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (PMK) of the Republic of Indonesia, Muhadjir Effendy, encouraged Papua Province to become a center for sports talent development.
This was conveyed in the agenda of his working visit at the Hall of the Faculty of Engineering (FT) of Cenderawasih University (Uncen) Friday (12/11/2021).
“Papuan children have talent in sports. I think we should push this," he said.
He also said that he would coordinate with Indonesian President Joko Widodo, to make the easternmost province of Indonesia a center for developing sports talent.
On that occasion, he also conveyed to the students to be serious in studying, and to pursue the future.
"Papuan children have talent and must be developed, for that seriously study," he appealed.
During his visit, he also expressed his full support for the collaboration of the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs together, ITS and Uncen.
Regarding the cooperation in making fiber boats, which will be handed over as assistance, the people of Mamberamo Raya Regency.
For your information, together with Muhadjir, Social Minister Risma was observed to have handed over a number of aids, which consisted of assistance for social empowerment programs and assistance for social rehabilitation programs.
Then, during the working visit of the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Social Affairs, the Chancellor of the University of Cenderawasih Apolo Safanpo, and the Reverend Lipiyus Biniluk, as well as other dignitaries.
