FAMILY ANGRY

The joint TNI/Polri apparatus reportedly succeeded in incapacitating one member of the separatist group. Although he had time to fight weapons, Oce Belau (25) had to die because he was shot in the chest.
As a youth from Intan Jaya, Oce Belau is known to have recently joined the separatist group led by Undinus Kogoya. The news of his death suddenly made his family disapprove and felt angry because his body was burned without coordinating with the family.

"We, the family, do not accept the way Undinus did it. Burning the bodies without informing us," said one of Oce Belau's family, who did not want to be identified.

Asked about the reason why Oce Belau joined the separatist group, the family said that Oce was framed by Undinus Kogoya with the lure. Even Oce had admitted that he wanted to leave the movement, but was not allowed to and instead received threats.

"He was framed, I don't know exactly how. But after that he wanted to come out again, but instead he was threatened. Not only he was threatened, our family will also be threatened by Undinus' safety,"

The outgoing party admitted that they were devastated by Oce's death. Even after the news of Oce's departure, the family could even weigh their hopes if Oce had not joined the separatist group.

"If he didn't join Undinus, he'd be alive by now."

It is reported that the family will sue Undinus Kogoya with the prevailing customs. This was revealed because the extended family felt very angry with Undinus' unilateral action in burning Oce Belau's body.
