Maruf Amin believes Peparnas XVI can be as successful as the 2021 Papua PON

Vice President (Wapres) Maruf Amin believes that Peparnas XVI will be as successful as the 2021 Papua PON. This was conveyed by Maruf when opening Peparnas XVI at Mandala Stadium Jayapura Papua, Friday (11/5/2021).

“The last XX PON was a tremendous success. I am sure that the Paralympic Games will be successful again, because the Papuan people are sports lovers and the Papuan people are warm hosts," he said, Friday (11/5/2021).

he said that Papua's success in hosting a national sports competition would go down in history.
 
"This success, once again, will be recorded in history, which will always be remembered in the hearts of all Indonesian people," he said.

Maruf expressed his appreciation to the Minister of Youth and Sports, the ranks of the Ministers of the Advanced Indonesian Cabinet, the Governors, the General Chairperson of the Indonesian NPC along with the entire board of directors, and all parties who have worked hard to help prepare for the implementation of this Peparnas.

"In particular, I give the highest appreciation to my brother, the governor of Papua Mr. Lukas Enembe and all levels of the Papuan regional government as the 202 National Peparnas Committee," he said.

He said that although there were many challenges, with hard work Peparnas could be prepared well.

"Despite many challenges, but with the hard work and support of all Papuan people, whom I love, dear Papuan people, have succeeded in preparing the venue for the matches and supporting facilities in accordance with the standards of the National Paralympic Week matches," he concluded.
