Papuan youth appreciate the successful implementation of PON XX and Peparnas XVI

One of the youth leaders, Erwin R Kbarek, expressed his appreciation for the success of Papua as the host of the XX PON and XVI Peparnas.

The national-level sporting event held in Papua was really successful, especially in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

"I am very proud because the implementation was successful, especially since Papua's ranking has increased both in PON and Peparnas," said Erwin Kbarek to Antara, Sunday in Jayapura.

Admittedly, the successful implementation of PON XX and Peparnas XVI is proof of the trust given by the state, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, but thank God there were no significant case reports.
 
In the XX PON, Papua managed to improve the ranking up to become the fourth winner, while in Peparnas XVI became the first winner.

"Congratulations to the athletes both competing in PON and Peparnas who have donated medals for Papua," said Erwin Kbarek who is also a politician from PDI P.

Papua in the XVI Peparnas managed to get 295 medals consisting of 125 gold medals, 85 silver medals and 69 bronze medals.

Peparnas XVI Papua in 2021 took place after the date of November 3 to 13 followed by 1,985 athletes from 12 sports were held in two clusters, namely Kota Jayapura and Jayapura district.
