REFLECTION OF THE REFUGE ISSUES, PAPUAN PEOPLE 'BALL UP'

It was revealed that the refugee action was propaganda that was deliberately created by separatist groups to create noise and the perception of oppression for civilians due to the conflict in Papua. The statement came from a resident of Tumorbil, Bintang Mountains Regency who was previously forced to pretend to be a refugee.
“Some of us did not think that the evacuation was just a trick created, we are natives of Tumorbil, but our activities are limited. It was only later that we found out why we felt like we were being held captive and not allowed to come out of the forest,”

It is known from a resident with the surname Uopmabin that if the community had received intimidation from a separatist group, in his admission the residents of Tumorbil had also been visited by a separatist group to be frightened because of an armed conflict.

According to Uopmabin, several people who are still 'hostage' by separatist groups want to return to their respective villages as soon as possible. According to him, these residents are being used for political purposes related to the Papuan independence movement.

“Obviously they are only used for the purposes of political action, but what has happened has been very detrimental. Residents who are unable to do anything can only surrender, they are victims,"

In fact, Uopmabin thinks that the movement to liberate Papua has been tainted by the separatists themselves, because the community should be used as bait just to give the impression that Papuans are being intimidated by the conflict.

"It's not civilians who fight, we don't know anything. The claim of struggle was actually tainted by separatist groups, civilians were used as bait only for unimportant points, these were all lies, what they did was also a dupe,"

Separatist groups deliberately carry out propaganda, revealing the issue of refugees is one of a number of vices that are always used to promote their interests in Papua. This makes sense because the issue of refugees always sticks out before the celebration of major holidays.
