DPD LDII Merauke Regency Holds Maternal and Child Health Counseling
The Regional Leadership Council (DPD) of the Indonesian Islamic Da'wah Institute (LDII) of Merauke Regency held a health education for mothers and children in the hall of the Baitul Makmur Mosque complex, Jalan Pembangunan Wing 1, Merauke Regency, Papua, Saturday (29/1/2022) afternoon.
The chairman of the DPD LDII Merauke Regency, H Bekti Utomo said, health counseling with the theme of maternal health before and during pregnancy was an action program in the field of women's empowerment and family welfare of DPD LDII Merauke.
"Mothers must recognize their own anatomy and health, apart from being smart in terms of science and technology," she said.
H Bekti said, my mother became a madrasa for the family. The knowledge gained through the resource person, Midwife manurung is expected to be useful.
According to him, the enthusiasm of the participants was very high even though it was carried out offline and partly online.
A total of 90 participants attended online counseling from 14 points ranging from PAC Wogekel, Rawahayu, Semangga, Ulilin, Kurik, Muting, Jagebob, and others. In fact, there were participants from Asiki and Boven Digoel.
"Every 3 months it is carried out. In the future, there will be counseling on family economic resilience. During the COVID-19 pandemic, mothers can still be the support of the family economy," he said.
H. Bekti Utomo explained that the development of national character for mothers is very important because mothers are noble figures who deserve to be placed in a special way.
"Hopefully, LDII residents, especially mothers or women's dharma, get useful knowledge," he said.
