My Asset and Runcing Foundation Distribute Scholarships for Children in NTB, NTT, and Papua

Assetku, a Peer-to-Peer Lending (P2P) Fintech company, together with the Runcing Foundation provided scholarships to help educate dozens of underprivileged children in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) and Papua.
 
According to data from the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia, East Nusa Tenggara, West Nusa Tenggara and Papua contributed 24.7 percent of dropout students from all over Indonesia. Students dropping out of this school include the level of compulsory education.

This has prompted AsetKu, a P2P lending financial platform that has been established since October 2017 to contribute to helping 50 underprivileged children through the NusantaraKu Scholarship Program-Charity Activities Light the Way to School.

AsetKu, based on the release received, together with Runcing Foundation, provide facilities in the form of tuition fees, living expenses, accommodation and activity costs of IDR 200 million for underprivileged students in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) and Papua to improve living and learning environment.

The program, which will run for 1 year during 2022, will be monitored directly through various visits to schools that will be carried out by the Runcing Foundation and Local Partners. The NusantaraKU Scholarship Program - Charity Illuminates the Way to School is also expected to mobilize the community to participate in helping children in Indonesia who are less fortunate.

Assetku is committed to not only providing easy access to financial services, but also contributing to education in Indonesia, it is a pleasure for Assetku to see these children achieve their dreams.

AsetKu also invites lenders to participate in lighting the way for students to go to school by participating in interactive games on the AsetKu application. After they successfully complete the game, for platinum and diamond members, AsetKu will donate funds of up to IDR 200 million on behalf of the lenders as a form of appreciation for their continuous support to AsetKu.

In addition, they will be awarded a certificate of appreciation. For other members who take part in this program, they will get a thank you card from AssetKu.

Receive a licensed P2P status from OJK

In addition to informing the scholarship program, Assetku also announced that it had received a Business License for Information Technology-Based Lending and Loans from the Financial Services Authority (OJK) based on the Decree of the OJK Board of Commissioners Number: KEP123/D.05/2021 dated December 23, 2021.

This P2P status with permission from the OJK will be a validation that the operational processes that run in the company will be based on the principles of accountability and transparency and will always be under the umbrella of OJK rules.

With the issuance of a licensed status from the OJK, it is hoped that it will build public trust in the P2P lending industry in Indonesia. The granting of a licensed P2P status by OJK is one proof of AsetKu's commitment to always provide financial services in a comfortable and efficient manner.
