The Lapago Indigenous Peoples Declare Reconciliation Towards Peaceful Papua
The indigenous people of Lapago, in Jayawijaya district, Papua carried out the “Declaration Supporting Reconciliation Towards a Peaceful Papua” (26/02/2022). This activity is a form of the aspirations of the Lapago people who want peace in Papua.
This Declaration was attended by several traditional leaders, community leaders, religious leaders, women leaders and youth leaders from the Lapago traditional area in Kab. Jayawijaya.
The declaration activity started with the planting of the Red and White Flag on Walesi Hill and the Declaration Field, then continued with the reading of a statement of attitude led by Herman Doga, Head of LMA Kab. Jayawijaya and followed by the participants of the declaration, which contained
1. Supporting the establishment of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia in Papua.
2. Supporting peaceful Papua within the framework of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia through reconciliation.
3. Support the resolution of problems in Papua in a dignified manner.
4. Encouraging the acceleration of development and the formation of new autonomous regions in Papua by prioritizing the division of districts that have been fought for independently by the community, so that it will open up job opportunities, especially for OAP.
5. Encourage the socialization of Special Autonomy for Papua to the Papuan people.
Then the event continued and ended with the signing of a declaration on billboards and a statement of attitude by the figures present, including:

2. Wesakin Asso (Head of Tribe – Head of Indigenous Peoples Institution/LMA Asso Tipo District – Putra Pejuang Pepera)

4. Naligi Kurisi (Head of the Wamena War Tribe, Jayawijaya Regency)
5. Sadiq Asso (Head of Tribe – Head of the Indigenous Peoples Institution/LMA Walesi District – Son of the Pepera Fighters)
6. Heri Bertus Mabel (Chief of Kurulu District – Son of Pepera Fighters)
7. Agus Huby (Chairman of the Red and White Front/BMP Jayawijaya Regency)
8. Hengky Heselo (Chief of the Kurima Community – Head of Lani Tipo Village, Wamena)
