Bamsoet Calls for the Use of Full Force to Destroy KKB in Papua
MPR chairman Bambang Soesatyo called on the government and security forces, especially the TNI to exert full force to crush the Papuan armed criminal group (KKB). According to Bamsoet, as he is affectionately known, movements that clearly interfere with the sovereignty of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia and cost lives, should not be tolerated and should be stopped immediately.
"I want the government to exert full strength to hit and stop movements that are clearly a form of disturbing the sovereignty of the state," said Bamsoet at the Nusantara IV building, Parliament complex, Jakarta, Monday (28/3/2022).
According to Bamsoet, neither the government nor the security forces need to be afraid of accusations of human rights violations against the KKB group. This is because KKB's actions have clearly violated human rights and killed the nation's best sons and daughters.
“I just called for not to be afraid of accusations of human rights violations. The most important thing is not about human rights, but about saving the lives of our best sons and daughters, and saving the sovereignty of the Republic of Indonesia," he stressed.
Bamsoet said the mandate of the 1945 Constitution was clear that there should not be an inch of NKRI land separated from the Indonesian people. "We will defend until the last drop of blood," said Bamsoet.
