Papuan native sons enter the membership of the Asian African Youth Government

Rahman Fatur, a son from Karas District, Fakfak Regency, West Papua has successfully entered the membership of the Asian African Youth Government (AAYG).

"This is certainly a pride for me and my parents who have raised me, so I did not expect to be included in the membership of the Asia-Africa Youth," said Rahman Fatur, Saturday (12/3-2022)

Rahman is a member of the African Youth for the period 2021-2026 led by Saddam Al-Ijihad.

He was then inaugurated as an AAYG administrator by the MPR RI Bambang Soesatyo in Senayan, Jakarta on Friday (11/3/2022).

"As a native Papuan son who is the only one given the trust in the membership that brings together countries on these two continents, for me this is a good achievement," said Rahman.

According to him, being an AAYG administrator is not an easy thing. For Rahman, there is a morel burden that he bears as a native Papuan child.

"I am very proud because it is not easy to be trusted to be the administrator of AAYG. My presence as an administrator here is certainly a burden for morel as a native Papuan child who must be able to contribute to the world, the nation and especially my beloved country, Papua," he said.

In the management of the Asia-African Youth member, Rahman served in the Treasury of the AAYG Secretariat Office Indonesia.

As a youth from West Papua, Rahman certainly makes the current problems in Papua as homework

"This will be a big homework for me in the next 5 years as the administrator of the Asian-African Youth Government," said Fatur, who is still active as a Postgraduate Student who focuses on taking the International Relations Program (Hubinter) at Paramadina University, Jakarta.
