The Wamena Community Fully Supports Regional Expansion in Central Papua

About 10 residents came to the Tongkonan building on Jalan Irian Atas, Wamena to support the division of the Regency and Province of Papua into several parts, including the LaPago customary area in the Central Mountains of Papua.

In this case, consolidation was carried out marked by the submission of the support file for regional expansion by the traditional leaders of the DOB team to the Chairman of Commission II of the DPR RI Doli Kurniawan Tanjung and Jhon Tabo as the Chair of the Central Papua Mountains Expansion Team.

Doli Kurniawan Tanjung, Chairman of Commission II of the Indonesian House of Representatives, said that he had doubts about consolidating to Papua, because of the issue of refusal to expand by certain groups.

Jhon Tabo, the Head of the Papuan Central Mountains Expansion Team, said that the expansion was a gift from God and would be a livelihood for the future generations of Papuans.

"As you can see here, men and women stand peacefully, and hope that the Papuan people do not believe in hoaxes that are deliberately developed to make things worse." Said John Tabo.
