Lanny Jaya Regency Government appreciates the performance of 500 OAL contract teachers

The government of Lanny Jaya Regency, Papua gave appreciation to the 500 Lanny Jaya Orang Asli (OAL) contract teachers for their performance and service for six months despite having geographical difficulties that are difficult to reach.
 
Head of the Lanny Jaya District Education Office, Tan Wanimbo, in a press release in Jayapura, Tuesday, said that based on the results of the performance evaluation meeting of OAL contract teachers, there were 50 students who performed well.

"We really appreciate these OAL teachers, especially those who teach in elementary schools, early childhood and kindergartens," he said.

According to Tan, having OAL contract teachers will greatly assist educational services in schools in Lanny Jaya.
 
"As is well known conditions leading to these schools are difficult to reach." he said
 
He explained that with OAL contract teachers he made sure that services at the early childhood, kindergarten and elementary levels were well served.
 
"Even though we don't have a place to live, the teachers live with the community and really carry out their duties there," he said again.
 
He added that the financing for OAL contract teachers through special autonomy funds amounted to more than Rp. 1.8 billion, so that this was the right policy to invite Lanny Jaya's native child to work.
