Papuan Youth Activists: The Young Generation is the Milestone of Papua's Future

Papuan Youth Activist Herman Naftali said the future of Papua is determined by the current young generation who are studying at various universities both at home and abroad.

This was revealed by Herman during an interview on Matoa TV, Tuesday night (19/4/2022).
 
Herman said that the young Papuan generation can be in a new environment both at home and abroad, and this shows that the young Papuan generation has abilities that can be compared with other friends abroad.

They have what they have that they want to express themselves with the opportunity. This education is very important which is something that people must have. If we talk about change without education, we can't do anything. So in the next 5 to 10 years, if the younger generation of Papuans have a good education, professionals in their fields Papua will change far from today, said the inventor of the converter of rainwater into clean water that can be consumed by Papuans.

"We see that many young Papuan children are studying in the country, even abroad, where they go there to gain knowledge so that they can build Papua together," said Herman.

"I see this as something good, I thank the government and to anyone who supports them. We are Papuan assets. If Papua wants to progress, it is education that we must pay attention to,” said the Papuan Youth Activist.

Herman Naftali expressed his appreciation that this year the ministry has a special program for Masters, where all the requirements made in it are conditioned with Papuans. This is something extraordinary, it doesn't mean they see the younger generation of Papua as incompetent. On the contrary, Papuan children are great. The Ministry provides a special requirement for Papuan children. This means that there is special attention from the Central Government.
 
“The young generation of Papua can now achieve their dreams by getting quality education through educational scholarships that have been facilitated by the Central Government and Regional Governments. The younger generation is now a milestone in the future of Papua which is even more advanced," concluded Herman.
