Terror of shooting by KBB, TNI/Polri Alert I at Ilaga Papua

All TNI/Polri troops in Ilaga District, Puncak Regency, Papua were immediately on alert after the shooting, burning of PT MTT employees and mess, Saturday afternoon (19/2) by the Armed Criminal Group (KKB).

Based on the information received, all TNI/Polri troops, both organic and BKO, were on standby at their respective posts following the KKB terror attack in Ilaga, Puncak Regency, Papua.
 
The Head of Public Relations of the Papuan Police, Kombes Pol. AM Kamal, said that alert 1 was carried out to anticipate unwanted events.

"So the troops who are there are still on standby at their respective posts," said the Head of the Cartenz 2022 Damai Damai Public Relations Task Force.

Kombes Pol AM Kamal regrets that such a thing could happen, because the TNI-Polri always try to carry out activities in a peaceful manner. However, the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) still carries out acts of violence against the TNI-Polri and the public.

"We TNI-Polri will carry out measurable firm action against perpetrators of law violators, let alone committing violence using firearms," he said.

Previously, the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) was reported to have carried out a series of shootings and arson attacks in the Ilaga area of Puncak Regency, Papua, Saturday (19/2).

After shooting a Kopasgat member at Aminggaru Airport, KKB shot Glen Sumampaw, an employee of PT MTT. As a result, the victim suffered a gunshot wound to the lower left armpit.
