TNI-Polri arrest the shooter of Yalimo Koramil member and wife in Elelim

The joint TNI-Polri team, Saturday (30/4) arrested WT suspected of shooting and assaulting the Babinsa Koramil 1702-/Kurulu member Sertu Eka Andrianto Hasugian and his wife, Midwife Sri Lestari Putri.
 
The two couples who served in Elelim, Yalimo District, were shot and tortured to death on March 31, 2022 on the Trans Elelim road, Elelim Village.
 
Kapendam XVII/Cenderawasih Lieutenant Colonel Kav. Herman Taryaman in Jayapura on Saturday admitted that the incident, apart from causing the death of a married couple, also caused their youngest child, who was three years old, to have his finger cut off from a sharp object.
 
WT was arrested in Dugume Village, Dugume District, Kab. Lanny Jaya, at approx. 07.40 WIT.
 
When he was arrested, said Herman, WT had tried to escape until the members fired shots starting with a warning but because they were not heeded they were immediately disabled.
 
WT is a member of the KSB and currently he is still in Wamena Hospital, explained Lt. Col. Kav Herman.
