Paulus Waterpauw Delivers Good News, 439 Honorary Workers in West Papua Can Be Appointed As ASN

A total of 439 honorary workers in West Papua Province were appointed as state civil servants (ASN) according to the instructions of Acting Governor Paulus Waterpauw.

Previously, 439 of the 512 honorary staff qualified to be appointed as ASN.

Paulus Waterpauw explained, the appointment of hundreds of honorary workers to be included in the 2022 budget year.
 
"Of the 512 honorariums, after validation, 439 people who meet the requirements, 209 people (of whom) have met the educational requirements to have a D3, 230 people have not met the requirements (education) and are required to improve competence with a maximum period of five years," said Waterpauw in Manokwari, Monday (27/6/2022).
 
To facilitate the improvement of the competence of the 230 honorary staff who have not met the minimum educational requirements, the West Papua Provincial Government will cooperate with educational institutions in Manokwari.

Thus, the honorary staff can have a minimum education of D3 which is one of the requirements for appointment as ASN.

Meanwhile, tens of honorary workers could not participate in the appointment process due to a number of obstacles.

"73 people do not meet the requirements, namely because they died and moved elsewhere," he explained.
 
Previously, 512 honorary staff expressed their aspirations during the implementation of the apple in the courtyard of the West Papua Governor's Office.
 
Meanwhile, dozens of temporary workers in the West Papua Government held a demonstration at the BKD Regional Personnel Agency Office on Monday.

The honorary employees burned used tires in front of their BKD office demanding certainty.
