TNI Soldiers Teach Children Kampung Epem Toothbrush

TNI Soldiers from Kodim 1707 / Merauke who are members of the 107th Manunggal TNI Task Force Building the 107th Village Task Force teach children in Kampung Epem, Citak Mitak District, Mappi Regency, Papua, taking care of their health through toothbrushes properly and correctly, Monday (3/30/2020).

Epem village is one of Papua's remote areas, so brushing or tooth-brushing activities are common in the area. It is hoped that this kind of activity can help the community to increase awareness about hygiene and health.

The activity of teaching children to brush their teeth was carried out in Mr. Felix's yard, followed by dozens of children from Epem Village. Soldiers of the 107th TMMD Task Force Kodim 1707 / Merauke, patiently taught children how to brush their teeth properly. The children of Epem Village are so enthusiastic and happy to follow it.

Company Commander (Danki) of the 107th TMMD Task Force Kodim 1707 / Merauke First Lieutenant Antonius Kalambia said that the activity of teaching children from Epem Village to brush their teeth properly and correctly aims to familiarize themselves in maintaining and caring for teeth, so that their teeth are always healthy and strong.

According to him, by brushing teeth well and done every morning after eating and at night before going to sleep, it will greatly help the child to be free from dental disease and bad breath and cavities.

"In the age of children like this most there is no awareness in maintaining and caring for oral hygiene, for that the role of parents in everyday life is very important in improving children's health," First Lieutenant Antonius said.

Danki 107th TMMD Task Force Kodim 1707 / Merauke hopes, with this kind of activity, it can be used as motivation so that children diligently brush their teeth every day.
