Indonesian House of Representatives member Dedi Mulyadi said he had no objections to the proposed 50 percent reduction in the salaries of DPR members for handling corona impacts.

Dedi also said that the collected budget, if approved, was proposed to be focused on two things.

First, to provide assistance to residents who lost their jobs due to having to stay at home.

Second, it is focused on the procurement of personal protective equipment (PPE) for medical personnel who treat corona patients.

"These two things become the focus so that this budget has an effect on accelerating the settlement of the sick and preventing outbreaks that spread to the public," he said.
