7 KKB Members Killed During Law Enforcement in Mimika |
Seven members of the armed criminal group (KKB) were killed from March to April, in law enforcement by the TNI-Polri Task Force. Papua Regional Police Chief Inspector General Paulus Waterpauw said the seven members of the KKB were killed during a crossfire in three areas in the Mimika Regency.

In that incident, a New Zeland resident named Graeme Thomas Weal (57) died. While two other employees named Jibril MA Bahar (49), and Ucok Simanungkalit (57) were injured.

A day later, the TNI-Polri Task Force again paralyzed the KKB members in Gunung Botak, Tembagapura District, April 10, 2020. In addition, the authorities also managed to secure an SS1 type long-barreled firearm.
