The ship owned by PT Pelni again brought materials needed by the community using KM Dobonsolo. Head of PT Pelni Jayapura Branch, Harianto Sembiring said, the ship arrived at the Port of Jayapura around 15:00 CET carrying 30 containers sailing from Jakarta, Surabaya and Makassar.

Harianto ensured that KM Dobonsolo only brought logistics, not passengers. "Pelni passenger ships only carry logistics since access in and out of people at seaports is temporarily closed by the regional government to prevent the spread of the corona virus from spreading," Harianto said.
Previously, the Papua Provincial Government was supported by PT Pelni to bring in logistics 41 containers using KM Ciremai with details of 40 containers containing dry mixed commodities, 1 container containing frozen or wet commodities.
Head of Industry, Trade, Cooperatives (Dissperindagkop) Office, UKM and Labor of Papua Province, Omah Laduani Ladamay He expressed his gratitude to PT Pelni for their support in bringing in commodities using passenger ships.
Laduani ensured that despite using a passenger ship, the ship only carries logistics, not carrying passengers since the closure of passenger access at sea ports in Papua.
He also appealed to retailers and distributors to sell commodities at reasonable prices, especially staples (bapok).
"Don't play in the midst of other people's difficulties because until now we have inventoryed the impact of the Covid-19 outbreak, many people have lost their income, so economic problems will impact on social problems that can disrupt security stability," he said.
