In Papua, Dr. Victor Manuhutu Uses a Gallon of Aqua to Save PPE

A doctor in Papua is forced to use gallons of used aqua to protect himself from Corona Virus. Even though Papua still has sufficient PPE, Dr. Victor does not want to wasteful of using PPE amidst the scarcity of PPE.

In a photo circulating, a doctor wears a yellow PPE and a face covering from gallons. Based on messages circulating on social media, it was mentioned that the doctor who used the gallon PPE was a pulmonary medical specialist in Jayapura, Papua.

After searching, it turns out that the photo is actually a photo of a doctor named Victor Manuhutu. He works in a number of hospitals in Jayapura, namely Jayapura Hospital, Bhayangkara Hospital III and Provita Hospital.

Despite using gallons, it turned out that the action was not due to lack of PPE. The availability of PPE stock assistance from the government is still sufficient. The APD from the gallon was called by Victor as a result of his creation to add a sense of security amid the new Covid-19 corona virus pandemic.
