Ministry of Religion Urges For Worship At Home During Ramadhan This Year

The Ministry of Religion calls on Muslims to carry out all worship in welcoming and during Ramadhan 1441 Hijri at home to break the chain of the spread of the Corona virus.

"The Ministry of Religion has issued a guideline for worship in the holy month of Ramadan," said Director General of Islamic Community Guidance Prof. Dr. Phil H. Kamaruddin Amin, during a press conference at Graha BNPB, Jakarta, Friday.

Muslims throughout Indonesia, he said, were encouraged to conduct worship, both prayers and all activities related to the coming of the holy month of Ramadan to be carried out at home. That is, starting from the implementation of fasting and other worship performed at home in accordance with the rules of fiqh.

"We hope that the opening together will be eliminated, the tarawih prayer will be held in their respective homes, and then (warning) Nuzulul Quran will be abolished, as well as the implementation of tadarus in the mosque will be abolished," he said.

He hopes the implementation of worship at home during the fasting month does not reduce the quality of worship at the mosque, because the condition is indeed an emergency.

"The easy implementation of our worship in our homes, God willing, does not reduce the quality of our worship, does not reduce our rewards, because we are in a state of emergency. God willing, Allah SWT will be very understanding, and let us implement policies together. government, "he said.

Kamaruddin reminded that the government policy must be oriented to the benefit so that the community must help by implementing it properly.

"Because Tassarruf al-Imam 'ala al-ra'iyyah manutun bi al-maslahah. Government policies towards the people are certainly oriented to the benefit, continuously being to the benefit. God willing," he said.

In addition to the matter of worship, he also urged people in their daily activities to continue to follow the health protocol along with the prevention of COVID-19, such as washing hands with soap, using masks, and physical distancing or keeping a distance when in public places.

"'Stay at home. For this time we carry out worship at home and not go home before Idul Fitri. Do everything with discipline. Be a hero, protect yourself and others," Kamaruddin said.
