Papua Provincial Government Disburses Covid-19 Overcome Funds |
Papua Provincial Government, disbursed a budget of Rp. 15 billion in order to accelerate the handling of the co-19 pandemic in Bumi Cenderawasih. Funds are sourced from the Non-Permanent Aid Post (PBTT) of the Papua Regional Secretariat.
"It has been disbursed as much as Rp 15 billion from Rp 25 billion in PBTT from funds in the Regional Secretary of Papua," said William Manderi (Chair of the Papua Covid-19 Prevention Task Force Daily), Saturday, April 11, 2020.
According to him, funds will be prioritized to purchase medical personal protective equipment and rapid test kits. "We are working with BPKP and the Inspectorate to monitor the use of these funds to make them appropriate for use as needed," he said.
Meanwhile, a spokesman for the Papua Covid-19 Prevention Task Force, Silwanus Sumule, said Papua needed Rp950 billion in funds to deal with the corona virus.
"The funding proposed by the Task Force is around Rp950 billion, with details if the case is critical," Silwanus said.
According to Silwanus, the fund has covered all aspects. Starting from the need for medical equipment to the socio-economic aspects of the impact of the co-19 pandemic in Papua.
"We have made the study and have proceeded. Hopefully in the next few days we will convey it to the regional leaders, "he concluded.
