The police chief said that in the midst of the emergency situation of the Covid-19 pandemic outbreak that now hit Indonesia, including in the Mimika region, including a series of acts of violence carried out by the Armed Criminal Group (KKB), harmonious and integrated cooperation between the TNI, Polri and elements was needed. other society.

Moreover, the number of Mimika Regional Police personnel is quite limited, so it needs support from other related elements. He said, the current number of Mimika Police personnel was very minimal to be able to attend every activity, when facing the Covid-9 and KKB outbreaks. He said he was grateful that Mimika Regional Police continued to get help from Brimob BKO colleagues from the Central Kalimantan Regional Police.

The Dandim acknowledged that the burden of tasks faced by the TNI and Polri officers in the Mimika area was getting heavier, especially after the KKB had been introduced from a number of neighboring districts into the Mimika region. He explained, the KKB that had been in sectors in the Regency of Puncak, Puncak Jaya, Nduga, now all had joined in the Mimika region.

"For this reason, we must continue to maintain synergy here because there cannot be a single unit from the TNI-Polri to handle it, but we all must help, including regional governments and other relevant agencies," said Lieutenant Colonel Nainggolan.
