Fakfak Regency Government Prepares Covid-19 Centralized Quarantine Site

The Regency Government (Pemkab) of Fakfak together with the local Covid-19 Task Force Team more quickly provided locations and facilities (centralized quarantine), to accommodate groups of suspect Covid-19 and people who were confirmed positive.

Chairman of the Fakfak Regency Covid-19 Task Force Team, Ali Baham Temongmere, said the Fakfak Regency Government had provided a centralized quarantine place. Every citizen classified in ODP, OTG, and PDP (suspect), must enter a centralized quarantine.

"All will be quarantined, centered on the Fakfak Regional Government Training Center. We are also preparing the Work Training Center (BLK) mess to anticipate, if the education and training mess is full, "Ali said on Thursday (5/20/2020).

Ali said, other supporting facilities, of course, would be equipped tailored to the needs and protocols for handling and prevention of Covid-19. "The facilities used are of course the Diklat and BLK facilities that are arranged and equipped for the quarantine," he said.

Separately, West Papua Covid-19 Task Force spokesman, dr. Arnold Tiniap said that in West Papua Province only four districts / cities had confirmed that they had prepared a centralized canteen place and facilities.

The four regions are Fakfak Regency, Sorong City, Bintuni Bay, and Wondama Bay. "Only four regions in West Papua have implemented a centralized karantin by providing their respective facilities," Tiniap said.

Tiniap also asked for regions that have implemented centralized karatina, to prioritize health and prevention protocols, so that they do not accommodate large numbers of people in one place.
