Jayapura City Government Prepares 2 Hotels for Corona Isolation Room

Jayapura City Government prepares 2 hotels for the isolation of Covid-19 corona patients. Both hotels are in the Entrop area, Jayapura City.

Residents who undergo isolation and treatment at the hotel are residents whose rapid test results were declared reactive. As is the case with 239 residents in the densely populated settlement of Hamadi, South Jayapura District, Jayapura City whose reactive test results had undergone isolation at the hotel.

"As many as 239 Hamadi residents have been taken to the hotel and swab tests will then be conducted to determine for certainty their status, negative or positive, Covid-19," explained Mayor of Jayapura, Benhur Tomi Mano, Wednesday, May 13, 2020.

In addition to the two hotels that are currently being prepared, Jayapura City Government is exploring another hotel in the Jayapura City Road Printing Area to be used as a corona isolation location.

Benhur continued, if the PCR swab test was negative, then residents who were declared corona negative swab test would be allowed to go home.

To break the chain of distribution of corona, Jayapura City Government will create a free rapid test post in the Entrop PTC Field.

"All residents must have a rapid test. We will do everything we can to fight this corona, "he explained.

Benhur still asks residents to follow government regulations in preventing corona, for example, keep wearing masks when leaving the house, diligently washing hands and maintaining a healthy body and the environment.
