Mimika Starts Getting Ready for New Normal

The Government of the Republic of Indonesia is preparing to undergo a new normal era at the time of the Pandemic Covid-19 today. The new rules of life that are full of health protocols are inevitably mandatory for all communities in Indonesia including Mimika Regency, Papua Province.

Spokesperson for the acceleration and control of Mimvid Covid-19, Reynold Ubra said that the Mimika Regency Government would certainly follow suit if new normal was the policy of the central government.

"If it becomes a central policy, then even in Mimika Regency the Regional Government will definitely be ready to do that," he said in Timika, Wednesday (5/27).

But he said, it must be based on evidence (evidence based medicine) the number of positive cases of Covid-19 in Mimika Regency.

"But of course evidence-based evidence must be based, right? Seeing the results of this PSDD roughly have an impact on how much the number of reproductions of Covid-19 cases in Mimika Regency," said Reynold.

According to him, the health protocol on how a new normal life has been issued by the Ministry of Health for schools, offices and industry.

"It cannot be done directly but must be step by step. Which sub-population should we do first, of course sub-populations that are easily organized, "he said.

Reynold said, schools and offices are examples of sub-populations that are easily organized. He continued, according to him, shopping centers such as supermarkets and hotels are also easily organized.

"But this traditional market is a challenge in its own right," he said.

Even so, he was optimistic that the Mimika Regency Government would be ready to be able to do new normal.

"I am optimistic that the Mimika Regency Government will definitely be ready to be able to do that, and continue to follow the protocol established by the ministry of health," he added.
