Police Demand Mimika Citizens Not Panic with Corona Rate Increase

Mimika Police asked residents not to panic by increasing the COVID-19 corona case in Karaka City, as the Mimika Regency. Because currently, Mimika Regency ranks first in handling COVID-19 patients in Papua, with the number of COVID-19 patients totaling 87 people, with details 71 people still being treated, then 13 people recovered and 3 people died.

By increasing the number of positive cases of COVID-19 in Mimika, Mimika Regional Police Binmas Unit intensively carried out appeals and socialization of COVID-19 prevention.

V, SP. II Jalan Ahmad Yani, Sempan, Nawaripi, SP.I, Jalan Yos Sudarso, Forestry Complex and Old Market.

The police also asked the people in Timika not to over-panic, to remain calm and to always think positively. "Do not easily believe the information that is not yet clear and if there are issues, so that you can check the truth to the local police," he said.

To prevent the spread of corona, residents in Timika did not go home to the village and away from the crowded places, according to the instructions of the Mimika Regent and the National Police Chief.
