Even though the number of covid-19 positive cases continues to increase, the number of covid-19 patients also has a significant increase. This was said by a spokesman for the prevention of the 19th covid deployment of the Papua Province, Dr. Silwanus Sumule in Jayapura, Sunday (02/05).

According to Dr. Sumule, the number of corona positive patients who are declared cured continues to increase in Papua. "In April, the number of positive Covid-19 patients who recovered as many as 59, now entering the beginning of May rose to 60 people, one patient who had just recovered from Jayapura City was treated at a special hospital covid 19," said Dr. Sumule.

However, the number of people who were positive in co-19 also experienced a significant increase, which was spread across 29 City Regencies in Papua. For this reason, Dr. Sumule hopes that people in 29 regencies / cities, especially areas that have been exposed to the Corona virus, must continue to obey the health protocols of the local government.

"Everyone who falls into the ODP and PDP category can do a health protocol so that it is quickly prevented so that it does not enter covid positive 19," said Dr. Sumule.

Meanwhile, to date a total of 19 positive people in Papua have 240, with the most Mimika areas, 87 cases, Jayapura City 51 cases, Jayapura District 38 cases, Nabire 16 cases, Merauke 13 cases, Kerom 11 cases, Biak 11 cases, Sarmi 4 cases, Mamberamo Tengah 2 cases, Supiori 2 cases, Bovendigul 2 cases, and Jayawijaya 3 cases.
