The distribution of first-aid staples to 9 low-income households

The District Government (Pemkab) of Manokwari distributes first-stage staple assistance to 9 households, especially to low-income residents affected by Covid-19.

Daily Managing Officer (Plh) Manokwari Regent, Edi Budoyo said, the distribution of assistance from Manokwari Regency was the first stage of distribution, for two villages in West Manokwari District.

"Later, the next steps will be handed over," he said, Friday, May 22, 2020.

Edi also said that the first distribution process of bapok assistance to residents affected by the Covid-19 pandemic in Manokwari District was assisted by Kodim 1801 Manokwari.

"This is the delivery of the first stage of assistance, the next stage will continue. The first phase was given to residents in Sanggeng Village as many as 1,630 families (KK) consisting of 7,418 people, and West Manokwari Village as much as 3.26 families consisting of 10,625 people, "explained Edi.

According to Edi, it is hoped that the distribution of aid in the first phase will actually reach the community who receive it according to the available data.

"This assistance has been eagerly awaited, and continues to be questioned by residents. Therefore, this is the time the Manokwari Regency Government is realizing this Bapok assistance, "he explained.

Edi also thanked Mr. Dandim for directing his personnel to help channel this bapok assistance. He hopes the distribution process can run well, smoothly according to the expectations of all of us.

Dandim 1801 Manokwari Col. Inf Juniras Lumbantoruan said that the Kodim's support helped the local government in the mechanism from packaging bapok to distribution to residents.

"We are ready to help and secure the implementation," he said.
