The Online System is starting to become a solution for staple traders in Jayawijaya

Nine staple traders (nine-basic necessities) in Jayawijaya Regency, Papua Province have begun implementing an online sales system to meet the needs of the community amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ibu Lusya, a resident of Jalan Yos Sudarso, said that the online selling initiative arose because she saw that it was difficult for residents to get food supplies, especially kitchen needs.

"Now, the policy is work from home plus during Ramadhan. Now, to meet the needs at home, I provide online ordering and delivery services called Lapak Rizqi," he said.

He said selling online was indeed the first time after the outbreak of corona. Lusy said the Rizqi Stalls he managed to provide food, vegetables, fish, chicken meat and fruit that could be ordered by telephone 085244040707.

"As a trader I try to make it easy for people to access the supply of residents' needs without them having to leave the house," he said.

Lusy ensures that security becomes a priority in trading, especially when corona is epidemic. Jayawijaya Government is currently implementing social restrictions and merchant activities, as is done in some areas as an effort to prevent corona so that some residents stay at home.
