Development of Papua PON XX Hockey Arena Venue Faster Than Target

The Hockey Venue which was intended at the 2021 National Sports Week (PON) in the upcoming 2021 in Papua Province, the process has entered its final stage.

The construction of the Indoor and Outdoor Hockey Venue is nearing completion, leaving only little details of the process. The progress is at 99.30 percent. The construction of the Hockey and Cricket Venue itself progressed faster than the specified target.

The Hoki Venue, located in Doyo Baru Village, was one of the first batch venues built by the Ministry of PUPR in addition to Aquatic and Istora Papua Bangkit.

The Hockey Venue was also built in conjunction with the Cricket sports branch venue which is also located next to it.

"Same with Aquatic and Istora, the construction of the Hoki and Cricket venue is already in the finishing or completion phase," said Head of the Infrastructure and Settlement Task Force for Region II of Papua Province, Anggoro Putro, Saturday (06/06/20).

The Hockey and Cricket Venue began in December 2018 with a total construction cost of Rp277 billion with a contractor PT Nindya Karya and management consultant PT Bina Karya worth Rp4.9 billion.
